Hong Kong is a city of opposites. A city where East meets West, where ancient temples are flanked by modern high rises, where antique double-decker trams provide as invaluable a transport service as modern underground MTR trains.

My walking tours will show you Hong Kong from the inside. Learn how Hong Kong's history is still present in today's modern city, how ancient beliefs such as Fung Shui influence how skyscrapers are built, and see all those little hidden spots that are so easily overlooked.

Lantau Island and the Big Buddha have become synonyms, and that is no surprise. This magnificent statue is worth a visit, and the cable car ride from Tung Chung up to Ngong Ping is a major part of the attraction. A visit to the stilt houses of Tai O fishing village is also a must.

Other than Lantau, the main outlying islands of Hong Kong include Peng Chau, Cheung Chau and Lamma Island. More remote off the beaten track are islands such as Tap Mun, Po Toi and Tung Lung Chau. All of these islands have their own unique characteristics.
